Sunday Morning Worship

Every Sunday morning, we conduct a blended worship service at 10:45 am.  Worship begins with a warm welcome from the pastor and announcements.  Following this is a call to worship, usually a sentence or two from scripture.  Then the pastor leads the congregation in an opening prayer, asking for God to bless our service with his presence.  Afterwards is a time of worship in song.  We typically play two hymns and a contemporary song.  Following this time is a time of prayer, praise, and testimony.  After we pray, the pastor reads a text from scripture and offers a 25-30 minute sermon on the text.  The pastor concludes the sermon with a closing prayer and then offers a benediction.  After the benediction, the pastor dismisses the congregation.  No one is rushed out of the church following the service.  People can stay after to connect and build relationships with one another.

 

The last Sunday of the month typically includes the Lord's Supper and a pot luck dinner after the service in the fellowship hall, located in the basement of the church.
